DeRomo’s Gourmet Market & Restaurant Providing Free Dinners to Its Laid-Off Workers

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (April 13, 2020) — DeRomo’s Gourmet Market & Restaurant — 26811 S Bay Drive, Suite
140 & 148 in Bonita Springs — is providing free dinners for four every Sunday to its workers who were laid off as
a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week, 66 former employees took advantage of the service. Now, DeRomo’s is preparing its Easter menu of
bread and butter, family-size salad, ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans and dessert.
These packaged meals-to-go will be presented to former employees on Saturday, April 11th between 1 p.m. and
2 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., depending on their scheduled time slot. All former employees of DeRomo’s were
notified of this dinner-for-four service via email.

“Our dedicated workers are some of the hundreds of restaurant workers who have been laid off throughout the
region,” Schmitt said. “But we’re still in a position to help them, especially this holiday weekend, when that’s
what they need the most. DeRomo’s has always given back to the community with food, and this initiative is no
different. This Sunday and for as many Sundays to follow, my team is saying, ‘we couldn’t be sorrier for the
suffering you’ve endured, and DeRomo’s is at your service to demonstrate that you’re not alone.’”
